A Bit About Me
I am a graduate of San Jose State University, and hold a Master's Degree in Social Work. I also have a Master's Degree in Child Development from the University of California at Davis. I have received additional specialized training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am also well-versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, play therapy, and sand tray work.
I specialize in work with young children, teenagers, young adults, and families using a practical, evidence-based approach. I focus on individual, family, and community-based strengths, forging collaborative therapeutic relationships that are a foundation for lasting change. I have specialized experience in treating children with behavior problems, as well as individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, self-harm, sexual identity, and trauma-related issues.
Currently, I am only offering video appointments due to the Covid-19 pandemic. My current office hours are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30am-2:30pm. I look forward to working with you!
Services I Offer
Individual Therapy
In my therapy sessions, we’ll work together to solve current problems and improve positive thinking and behavior. I will help you re-frame your reactions to life's challenges, and provide you with valuable tools to cope with these obstacles.
Family Therapy
My family therapy sessions include any combination of family members who would like to be present. I work through challenges with each unique family system in order to achieve emotional wellness and foster positive, meaningful relationships.
Behavioral Therapy/Parent Coaching
I am trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), an evidence-based treatment for children who are exhibiting behavior problems. Using this modality, along with other evidence-based strategies, we will explore ways to manage your child's behavior and, as a result, improve the parent-child relationship.
